Royal Palace of Caserta

The Royal Palace of Caserta, located in the wonderful "Campania Felix", was designed by the architect Luigi Vanvitelli in 1752 at the behest of King Charles of Bourbon. This imposing Royal Palace of Caserta, with its over 1,200 rooms and 1,742 windows, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997 and is considered one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Italy.

Shopping center

The "Campania" Shopping Center is located in Marcianise, in the province of Caserta. The structure houses a shopping mall with 225 shops; in the shopping complex and near the main building there is a hypermarket, two large retail shops and a multiplex cinema.

Old Caserta

Casertavecchia is the ancient village of Caserta. It rises 400m above sea level, a few kilometers north-east of Caserta, at the foot of the Tifatini Mountains. In the Middle Ages it constituted the nucleus of Caserta, but lost importance as civil and religious functions moved to the new city.

Shopping center

In a unique architectural context, inspired by Bourbon neoclassicism, "La Reggia Designer Outlet" hosts, in an area of 17,500 m2, approximately 100 shops of the most prestigious fashion and luxury brands, as well as services, bars and restaurants, free parking and a children's play area.

Campania Amphitheatre

Through trap doors and long openings, the arena connected to the underground (carceres): a labyrinth of corridors with a perfect water canalization system, and niches that run along the entire perimeter wall which astounds the visitor.

Belvedere of San Leucio

The Belvedere of San Leucio is a monumental complex in Caserta, commissioned by Charles of Bourbon, king of Naples and Sicily (and subsequently king of Spain with the name of Charles III), which is considered, together with the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Vanvitelli Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
